William Charles Hagarty

Hagarty, William Charles, 83, of Belleville, Ill. died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.
William was born in East St. Louis on January 1, 1934, the son of Conrad and Catherine Hagarty.
He married the love of his life, Jacqueline Kistler, on December 4, 1965, in Belleville, Illinois.
William was a truck driver and a proud member of the Teamsters Union. He retired from Eilermann Transfer Co. in 1988. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with his friends at Foleys in Belleville, and at American Legion in Villa Hills.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 of his adult step-children, William and John Carnahan, and Christine Torres; five sisters, and 3 brothers.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife; step-son, Charles Carnahan, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Visitation will at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 9:00AM to 10:30AM.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM at Queen of Peace. All other services will be private.
