William Bernard "Bill" Dillon

William Bernard "Bill" Dillon passed away on Friday, September 4, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville having attained the age of 83 years, 6 months and 28 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on February 6, 1926, he was the son of Patrick Henry and Margaret Agnes "Dadge" (Healy) Dillon. He married Dolores McCoy on October 16, 1947 in East St. Louis and she preceded him in death on June 2, 1994. He married Peggy (Gerard) Keeney on November 23, 1999 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh and she survives.
Mr. Dillon was a landscaper, a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh and the Swansea Moose Lodge.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Dolores; his brothers, Owen Dillon, Donald Dillon, Francis Dillon, Patrick Dillon and Leo Dillon; his sisters, Margaret Harrison and Virginia Dillon and a step-son, Edward Keeney.
Surviving his passing are his wife, Peggy Dillon of Belleville; his children, Robert (Kitty) Dillon of Boca Raton, Florida, Nancy (Randall) Roberts of Smithton, Dennis (Dawn) Dillon of Fairview Heights and Carol (Jeff) Crawford of OFallon; his step-children, Patricia Havlin of Magnolia, Texas, Kenneth (Carol) Keeney of Fairview Heights, Thomas Keeney of Smithton and James Keeney of Belleville; his grandchildren, Todd Roberts, Eric Roberts, Ashley Roberts, Markus Crawford, Lucas Dillon and Venessa Dillon; his great-grandchildren, Keleigh and Aiden; nine step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh with Father James Thomas officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Hospital for Crippled Children, Memphis, Tennessee or Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh. Interment will be private. Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt is in charge of arrangements.
