Wilfred A. Roscow, Jr. of Waterloo, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at his home, having attained the age of 66 years, 2 months and 23 days.
Born in St. Elizabeths Hospital in Belleville, Illinois on July 26, 1952, he was the son of Wilfred A. and Alma Agatha Roscow, Sr., nee Wolfe. He was united in marriage to Vickie Simmons on September 10, 1984 in Pasadena, Texas and she preceded him in death on March 26, 1997.
After graduating from Southwestern Illinois College he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana due to a job transfer and then to Houston, Texas to work for Superior Oil Company as a maintenance technician in offshore oil wells where he worked for many years. He later returned to Illinois to be with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Vickie Roscow; his nephew, Douglas Deterding and his lifelong friend, Joey Ripplinger.
Surviving are his sisters, Patricia (George) Deterding of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois and Kathryn (Daniel) DeVan of Belleville, Illinois; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Roger) Rice of Waterloo, Illinois, James Deterding, Teresa Ehret and Alan (Amy) Deterding, all of Red Bud, Illinois; great-nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
