Wilbert Frederic McClure of St. Louis passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 at his home having attained the age of 85 years, 8 months and 11 days.

Born September 24, 1923 in St. Louis, he was the son of Herbert and Ruth (Auchter) McClure. He married Lillian Faries on June 12, 1952 and she preceded him in death.

Mr. McClure was a sheet metal worker and a veteran of the United States Army Air Force.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and his wife were one brother, Herbert McClure and a sister in infancy.

Surviving are his children, James (Joanne) McClure of St. Louis, Ronald (Leah) McClure of St. Louis and Ruth Lynn (Robert) Troxel of Missouri; his grandchildren, James (Christy) McClure, Jamie McClure, Amber Troxel and Ryan McClure; two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and from 9:00 A.M. to the time of service on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Southern Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Southern Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Concordia Cemetery, St. Louis.
