Wesley Posey


Wesley 'Butch' Posey, of Waterloo, Illinois, departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Red Bud Regional Care Center, Red Bud, Illinois having attained the age of 65 years, 10 months and 13 days.

Wesley was the son of John 'Buck' and Susie, nee, Pounders, Posey.

He was an auto body repairman by profession, a member of the Baptist faith, and a veteran of the United States Army.
Besides his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by his sisters, Ernestine (Howard) Myhan, and Glynda (Tom) Byrd; and brothers, John Freeman Posey, and Leamon Posey.

Wesley is survived by his son, Michael Posey, of Cahokia, Illinois; his daughters Jennifer (Adam) Voelker, of Waterloo, Illinois, and Rebecka Posey, of Cahokia, Illinois; brothers and sisters, Dessie (Shelton) Prince and Ilene (Eddie) Vandiver, of Alabama, Bill (Janet) Posey, of Florida, Truman Posey, of St. Louis, Missouri, Ray (Barb) Posey, Numan 'Pete' (Alma) Posey, and Joyce Guebert, all of Waterloo, Illinois, and Linda Wayland, of Valmeyer, Illinois; sister-in-law, Pat (David) Senf, of Waterloo, Illinois, grandchilren, Reagan Posey, Kennedy Voelker, Colt Kinnie, and Alex Posey, nieces, nephews and many friends.

For those wishing to give memorials may be made to the donors choice.

Family and friends will depart, in procession, from the Creason Funeral Home at 9:15 A. M. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, for a 10:00 A.M. graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted.
