Walter William Wolf
Walter William Wolf of Hecker, Illinois entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at his home. Born on February 9, 1930, he was the son of Walter Anthony and Mabel Wolf, nee Bryan. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Hukel on February 26, 1951 in East St. Louis, Illinois and she preceded him in death three years ago on December 1, 2012.
Mr. Wolf was a crane operator for Cooper Terminal and Dussen Quarry and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Rosemary; his sister, Colleen (Wayne) Ganster and his brother Glenn (Norma) Wolf.
Surviving are his children, Sylvia J. (Frank) Applegate of Shelbyville, Indiana, Carol S. (Richard) Herschel of New Athens, Illinois, Walter R. 'Buck' (Deborah) Wolf of Marissa, Illinois, Kenneth G. Wolf of Belleville, Illinois, Bruce E. (Theresa) Wolf of Robertsville, Missouri and Mark R. Wolf of Belleville, Illinois; his sister, Juanita Clossen of Troy, Illinois, Harry (Kathy) Wolf of Lebanon, Illinois and Wayne (Roberta 'Bertie') Wolf of Lenzburg, Illinois; 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends may call on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Freeburg Community Bible Church, 206 Wuest Lane, Freeburg, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 6:30 P.M. at the church with Pastor Dale Weber officiating. All other services will be private.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
