Walter D. Reinhardt, 75, of Millstadt, IL, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday May 26,
2024. Walter was born on November 16, 1948, in East St. Louis, IL to Walter L. and Helen
Reinhardt, nee Tallent, and his parents precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by
his son Wade Reinhardt.

Walter owned and operated Reinhardt’s Restaurant and Lounge in Millstadt for 35 years. When
he wasn’t working, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. During his life, he was able to ride his
bike in all 50 states. In his early years, he enjoyed racing stock cars. Walter loved his family and
will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle and dear friend to many.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Wesley Reinhardt of Freeburg, IL, his sisters; Gail Setzer
of Red Bud, IL and Jean Patterson of Waterloo, IL; his brother Jerry Reinhardt of Columbia, IL
and his former spouse Susie Swearengin of Freeburg, IL in addition to many nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, great-nephews and many beloved friends.
