Walter Pfingsten

Walter Pfingsten of Millstadt entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at St. Pauls Home in Belleville, having attained the age of 97 years, 2 months and 26 days.
Born on March 1, 1913, he was the son of Louis and Bertha (Scharf) Pfingsten. He married Stella Knepper on June 26, 1936 at the Concordia United Church of Christ parsonage with Rev. Adolf D. Rahn officiating.

Mr. Pfingsten was a farmer and a member of Concordia United Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Stella, on December 11, 1996 and his son, Leroy Theodore Pfingsten.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Concordia United Church of Christ, Belleville. Memorials may be made to the church and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. David Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
