Walter E Collins

Walter Edward Collins, 67 of Swansea, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 12, 2024. Walter was born on November 30, 1956, in East St. Louis, IL to Dr. Vernon V. and Elizabeth Collins, nee Gorman and they precede him in death.

Walter was a free-spirited individual who lived life on his own terms. He was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan and enjoyed many other science fiction programs. He was a faithful Catholic all his life and enjoyed volunteering over the years at Camp Ondessonk. Most of all, Walter enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers; Greg (Kathy, nee Heath) Collins and Stephen Collins along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and many beloved friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
