Virginia Catherine Mayor

Virginia Catherine Mayor of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at her home, having attained the age of 93 years, 5 months and 20 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 11, 1924, she was the daughter of Erwin C. and Helen Thurman, nee Fogarty. She was united in marriage to Lawrence T. Mayor and he preceded her in death in 1978.

Mrs. Mayor was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Louis and a secretary for the church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Lawrence T. Mayor; her sisters, Cathleen Aguirre, Marie Muckermann and Noreen Lea and her brother, James Thurman.

Surviving are her children, Cindy (Kenneth) Dodson of Avard, Texas and Christopher Aluisa of St. Louis, Missouri and her grandson, Joseph Rose of Avard, Texas.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or Compassionate Companions.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
