Virginia Altamay Foster of Fayetteville, Illinois, formerly of Waterloo, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, Illinois, having attained the age of 82 years, 8 months and 3 days.

Born in Oran, Missouri on August 1, 1929, she was the daughter of Walter Orville and Nora Belle Masters, nee Slinkard. She was united in marriage to Harvey Foster on June 29, 1947 in East St. Louis, Illinois and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1990.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Harvey Foster, were her parents; two sons, Kenneth Foster and Russell Foster; her brother, James Allen Masters and her sister, Marjorie Lee Suess.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Foster, of Fayetteville, Illinois; one grandson, K. David (Emmylu) Foster of Cadet, Missouri; two great-grandsons, Chase Foster and Ethan Foster, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Make A Wish Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Alvin Trusty officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
