Thomas Robert Lewis

Thomas Robert Lewis of Waterloo, Illinois passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2017 at St. Anthonys Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, having attained the age of 85 years, 9 months and 16 days.
Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1931, he was the son of Robert Kenneth and Frances Lewis, Nee McCarter. He was united in marriage to Joan Lewis on April 27, 1956 in Greenville, Tennessee and she preceded him in death.
Thomas was a veteran of the United States Armed Services, held a Bachelors Degree in education and was a junior high school teacher.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving are his children, John Lewis of Lakeland, Florida, David (Robin) Lewis of Chillicothe, Ohio and James (Julie) Lewis of Waterloo, Illinois; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Hope Christian Church in Columbia, Illinois.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
