Shirley M. Kuhn

Shirley M. Kuhn of St. Louis, Missouri entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Anthonys Hospital in St. Louis having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months and 27 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 15, 1931, she was the daughter of Valentine and Rose (LeGrand) Merz. She married Frederick 'Fred' Kuhn on January 13, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1969.

Mrs. Kuhn was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in St. Louis.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Fred, were her parents and one brother, Robert Merz.

Surviving are her sisters and brothers, Clarence Merz of St. Louis County, Marilyn Kaelin of St. Louis, Jeanette Luedde of St. Louis and Richard (JoAnn) Merz of St. Louis, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call on Monday, January 17, 2011 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Chulick Funeral Home, 5611 South Grand Boulevard in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Father Edward Ramatowski officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
