Scott Edward Chandler

Scott Edward Chandler, 39, of Lenzburg, IL, passed away on August 20, 2024, at his home. Scott was born on April 23, 1985, to Ernest and Gail (Williams) Chandler, and his parents precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lillie Williams and Dorothy Chandler.

Scott grew up in Lenzburg, IL and was a 2003 graduate of Marissa High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country for eight years. During his service he served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and earned the rank of Sergeant. After his service, he returned to the area and worked as a laborer and later as a concrete finisher. 

In his spare time, Scott enjoyed singing Karaoke, playing video games, especially World of Warcraft and playing golf. He also loved playing with and caring for his beloved dog, Jack. Scott was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Belleville, IL and a proud union member. He loved his daughter, Daisy very much and he was beloved by many and never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Daisy Fae Chandler, his sister, Nicole Wagner, his niece, Brook Chandler, his nephew, Ethan Wagner in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 7, 2024, at Hoffen Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington St., Millstadt, IL. Family and friends who are like family are invited to attend from 10:00-10:30, all other friends are asked to arrive at 10:30am. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am. Scott will be inurned at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions should be directed to the family.
