Rosemary Irene Wolf, nee Hukel of Hecker, Illinois entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 1, 2102 at her home having attained the age of 77 years and 10 months.

Born on January 31, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of George and Flossie Sylvia Hukel, nee Culter. She was united in marriage to Walter W. Wolf on February 26, 1951 in East St. Louis, Illinois and he survives her passing.

Rosemary was an avid homemaker, a devoted wife of 61 years, a mother, grandmother and loved her extended family. She always had a smile on her face, made friends wherever she went and always had a kind word for everyone.

She is going to be missed by her family and friends and will forever be remembered as a wonderful person.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Virginia Auvenshine and her brother, Robert Hukel.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Walter W. (Sonny) Wolf of Hecker, Illinois; her six children, Sylvia J. (Frank) Applegate of Shelbyville, Indiana, Carol S. (Richard) Herschel of New Athens, Illinois, Walter R. 'Buck' (Deborah) Wolf of Marissa, Illinois, Kenneth G. Wolf of New Athens, Illinois, Bruce E. (Theresa) Wolf of Robertsville, Missouri and Mark R. Wolf of Swansea, Illinois; her brothers and sister, Charles (Tina) Hukel of Belleville, Illinois, Sylvia (William) Rodgers of Fort Orange, Florida, Walter (Carla) Hukel of Patterson, Missouri and Raymond Hukel of Piedmont, Missouri; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

A gathering of friends will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Freeburg Community Bible Church, 206 Wuest Lane, Freeburg, Illinois.

A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Dale Weber officiating.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
