Rose Marie Scharf Vogt of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest with her daughter and her sons by her side, on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Memorial Care Center in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 85 years, 5 months and 3 days.

Born in St. Clair County, Illinois on November 18, 1927, she was the daughter of Gustave and Irene Klein, nee Kuehner. She was united in marriage to Harold Scharf on June 23, 1951 in Centreville, Illinois and to this union four children were born. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1971. She was united in marriage to Ralph Vogt on June 4, 1983 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Centreville, Illinois and he survives her passing.

Rose was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois, the Immaculate Conception Quilters, Concordia United Church of Christ Quilters, Millstadt Senior Center Quilters and St. James Sodality.

When you think of Rose always remember her beautiful smile, loving heart, gentle ways and willingness to help anyone anytime. She was without a doubt an angel among us. She is at peace and reunited with her Marty.

Preceding her in death besides her first husband, Harold Scharf, were her parents and her son, Martin Scharf.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph Vogt of Belleville, Illinois; her children, Daniel Scharf of Millstadt, Illinois, Victoria Brennan of Millstadt, Illinois, Mark Scharf of Millstadt, Illinois and Kathy Scharf of Smithton, Illinois; her step-children, Sharon (Edgar) Stallman of Millstadt, Illinois, Dennis (Bonnie) Vogt of Belleville, Illinois, Roger (Joy) Vogt of Millstadt, Illinois, Allen (Friend, Tammy) Vogt of Belleville, Illinois and Dale (Sherry) Vogt of Waterloo, Illinois; her sister, Jacqueline Wagner of Florida; her grandchildren, Keith and Jennifer Brennan of Millstadt, Illinois, Eric and Alessa Brennan of Glenarm, Illinois, Stephanie and Tim Diekemper of Smithton, Illinois and Stacy Scharf and friend, Zachary of Millstadt, Illinois; her step-grandchildren, Lisa Stallman, Dale Stallman, Dean Stallman, Todd Vogt, Ashley Vogt, Megan Vogt and Derrick Vogt; her great-grandchildren who she truly believed 'Hung The Moon' Keri Rose, Zachary Martin and Aaron Joseph, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois and on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois. The family requests no flowers please and that all memorials be made to the family to be distributed among her favorite charities.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois with Monsignor Marvin Volk and Pastor David Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
