Ronald E. Lee

Ronald E. Lee, 84, of Belleville, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 3, 2024, in Columbia, IL. Ron was born on October 11, 1940, in Sikeston, MO to William and Helen (Noles) Lee and his parents precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Rene Weik.

Ron grew up in East St. Louis, IL. He was a co-founder of Universal Air Company and traveled all over the country for many years representing their products. He later began working as a mechanic for St. Clair County Club until his retirement. 

On November 8, 1963, Ron married the love of his life, Ruth Ann (Harris) Lee and they shared 62 years of loving marriage. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed the outdoors and was a lover of all animals. Family was central to Ron’s life, and he cherished the time he spent with his beloved wife, daughter, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Ron’s love for his family will live on in their hearts forever. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and devotion to his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his dear wife, Ruth Ann (Harris) Lee, his granddaughter, Andrea (Eric) Klumpp; his great-grandchildren, Lucy and Emmy Klumpp in addition to extended family and many friends.
