Ronald Dale Braun

Ronald Dale Braun, 57, of Red Bud, IL, passed away at 12:42pm on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL.

Ronald was born in Red Bud, IL to the late Roland Braun and Brenda, nee Rosen, Schoenbeck on May 13, 1965.

He served with the Illinois Army National Guard from 1983 to 1989 before receiving an honorable discharge. In his free time, Ronald enjoyed everything nature had to offer, he went fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, and especially loved bowfishing with his nephews, Dakota and Kenny. Ronald put his loved ones first and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, his paternal and maternal grandparents, his paternal step-grandfather, and two sisters, Debra Braun and Gail McCannon.

Left to cherish Ronald’s memory is his daughter, Kristen Braun (fiancé Cody), of Red Bud, IL, his step-father, Ron Schoenbeck of Evansville, IL, his brother, Edward Braun of Sparta, IL, his sister, Deonna (Richard) Wiesen of Evansville, IL, his paternal step-grandmother, Mabel Schoenbeck of Sparta, IL, his goddaughter, Maleigha Beam of Evansville, IL, eight nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.

Per his wishes, Ronald will be cremated and a private memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
