Rona Jean Volkmann of Millstadt passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Caseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Caseyville having attained the age of 47 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Born on November 18, 1962 in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of Ronald John Adkins and Jeanie (Griggs) Adkins.

Rona was employed at Record Printing in the clerical department and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents.

Surviving are her mother, Jeanie Adkins of Dupo, Illinois; her father, Ronald Adkins; her children, Tiffany Jean Wedekind of Carmel, Indiana and Garret Volkmann of Belleville, Illinois; her sister Kimberly (Stacy) Shelley of Carmel, Indiana; her companion, David Galle of Millstadt; her special friends, Mary Lou and David Galle of Millstadt; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

All services will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt is in charge of arrangements.
