Robert William Maibes of St. Louis entered eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital having attained the age of 74 years, 4 months and 4 days.
Born on October 15, 1935 in Arkansas, he was the son of Larry and Louise (Maines) Maides. He married Doris Jost on October 13, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Maibes was a welder in the St. Louis Shipyard for 15 years and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Loretta Bores.

Left to mourn his passing are his children, Debra Martin and Jerry (Martha) Maibes of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Acenna Martin and Heather Martin; his great-grandchildren, Samantha Pelich, Alyiah Martin, Matthew Pelich and Marayah Hundelt; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends may call on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Chulick Funeral Home in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 8:00 P.M. at the Chulick Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt is in charge of arrangements.
