Robert C. Touchette

Robert Charles Touchette 83, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday January 9, 2025 in St. Louis, MO. 

Bob was a loving husband, father, and Papa. He loved spending time with his family.

Bob grew up in Millstadt, IL. After graduating from Belleville Township High School, he attended Southern Illinois University where he received his degree in Zoology. After graduating he enlisted in the Army where he served his country as a Military Intelligence Officer. He met his wife, Lynn, shortly before he enlisted, and they were married. After serving his country, Bob and Lynn settled in Belleville, IL where they raised their two children.

Bob was an avid reader who enjoyed hunting and history. He was a lifelong Cardinals fan who never saw anyone turn the double play quite like Julian Javier. In addition to coaching soccer and baseball for his children, Bob was a fan of the Rams, Blues, and most recently, STL CITY. 

Bob was most proud of his family especially his four grandchildren who called him Papa. He enjoyed attending their countless sporting events and theatre performances. Papa spent quality time with his grandchildren sharing his love of hiking, animals, flea markets, and rendezvous.

Bob was proceeded in death by his parents Charles Touchette and Vaneta Kelley Touchette and his brother James Touchette.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lynn (Render) Touchette; daughter Amy Touchette Brown (Michael); son Michael; grandchildren Madeleine, Annabelle, Chloe, and Quinn; and sister Janet Stephens, brother and sisters in law, many nieces, nephews, friends, cousins, and his faithful dog Mr. Darcy.

Robert will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A service is planned for the spring at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation.
