Robert “Bobby” Steven Klotz, 57, of Medora, IL, passed away in his home on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Bobby was born to Georgia, nee Farley, and John Klotz, in Belleville, IL on January 19, 1965. Preceding Bobby in death are three of his siblings, Jenny Klotz, Scott Klotz, and Sarah Klotz.
Friends would describe Bobby as a kind-hearted, hardworking man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He would often use his handyman skills, acquired from his fifteen years working as a prosthetics technician with his family’s company, to fix and restore household items and appliances for his friends, family, and the residents of Medora. Before he fell ill and retired, Bobby’s family recalls how dedicated he was to his patients, going to the ends of the earth to help them have a positive experience in being fit for new prosthetics and making friends of them before the day was over. Bobby will be dearly missed by his surviving family and friends—his parents, Georgia and John Klotz, siblings Paula (Robert) Smith, Becky (Marc) Leadbetter, Jeff Klotz, and Johnna Klotz-Bloodworth, his step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, his dear friend and trustee, Gina, his beloved dog, Lucy, as well as numerous other close friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hoffen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
