Raymond H. Waldschmidt, Sr. of St. Louis passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Avalon Garden Care Center in St. Louis having attained the age of 79 years, 1 month and 1 day.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 14, 1930, he was the son of George J. and Mary (Mayer) Waldschmidt. He married Joan Vonarx and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Waldschmidt was a shipping and receiving clerk at Missouri Industrial Belting and member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in St. Louis.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Joan;his parents and two brothers, George Waldschimdt and Phillip Waldschmidt.

Surviving are his children, Raymond Waldschmidt, Jr. of California and Mary Jane Grawlinski of Phoenix, Arizona; his sisters, Irma (Raymond) Kaufman, Blanche Mayo, Georgene (Don) Matthews and Mary Ann (Addison) Frahm; his grandchildren, William and Barbara; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Southern Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in the form of masses to St. Pius V Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius V Catholic Church with John Vien officiating . Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis.
