Ralph Lester Vogt of Belleville, Illinois entered eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Pauls Home in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 86 years, 1 month and 4 days.
Born in Belleville, Illinois on May 24, 1929, he was the son of Lester M. and Viola Vogt, nee Pfingsten. He was united in marriage to Florence Edna Scharf on June 5, 1948 at Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois and she preceded him in death on October 14, 1980. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Scharf, nee Klein on June 4, 1983 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Centreville, Illinois and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2013.
Mr. Vogt was a lifelong farmer, was employed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and was a lifelong member of Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois.

Preceding him in death besides his wives were his parents; his daughter, Karon; his brother, Harold Vogt and his stepson, Martin Scharf.

Surviving are his children, Dennis (Bonnie) Vogt of Belleville, Illinois, Allen Vogt of Belleville, Illinois, Roger (Joy) Vogt of Millstadt, Illinois, Sharon (Edgar) Stallman of Millstadt, Illinois and Dale (Sherry) Vogt of Waterloo, Illinois; his stepchildren, Victoria Brennan of Millstadt, Illinois, Daniel Scharf of Millstadt, Illinois and Mark Scharf of Millstadt, Illinois, his step-daughter-in-law, Kathy Scharf of Smithton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Todd Vogt of St. Louis, Missouri, Ashley Vogt of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Lisa Stallmann of Millstadt, Illinois, Dale (Heather) Stallman of Belleville, Illinois, Dean (Molly) Stallman of New Athens, Illinois, Megan Vogt of Fenton, Missouri and Derrick Vogt of Waterloo, Illinois; his stepgrandchildren, Keith (Jennifer) Brennan of Millstadt, Illinois, Eric (Aleesa) Brennan of Glenarm, Illinois, Stephanie (Tim) Diekemper of Smithton, Illinois, Stacy (Zachary) Ries of Belleville, Illinois, Kim Pringle of Columbia, Illinois and Cory Vogt of Belleville, Illinois; his great-grandson, Nolan Vogt of Fairview Heights, Illinois; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Keri Rose Brennan of Millstadt, Illinois, Zachary Martin Diekemper of Smithton, Illinois, Aaron Joseph Diekemper of Smithton, Illinois, John Brennan of Millstadt, Illinois, Andrew Pringle of Ohio and Jackie Pringle of Columbia, Illinois; his stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Pringle and Emory Pringle; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Memorials may be made to Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois or the donors choice and will be received at the funeral home.
Friends may call on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 3:00 P. M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois and on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois with Rev. David Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
