Pearl Elizabeth Smithmier of Belleville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 65 years, 2 months and 16 days.
Born on January 26, 1952 in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of Louis and Alfreda Taylor, nee Worley. She was united in marriage to Larry Smithmier on February 5, 1972 in Collinsville, Illinois and he survives her passing.
Pearl was an accountant and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her step-mother, Mary Adkins.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Smithmier of Belleville, Illinois; her children, Dawn (Michael) Walker of Lebanon, Illinois and Larry "Les" Smithmier of Belleville, Illinois; her brothers, Mike Taylor of Belleville, Illinois and Steven (Debbie) Taylor of Wonder Lake, Illinois; her sisters, Opal Marie Nowlin of New Madrid, Missouri, Angela Taylor of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Patricia (Matthew) Riley of
Connley Springs, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Mary Walker, Taylor Walker and Jonathan Walker, all of Lebanon, Illinois; her great-granddaughter, Hannah Monroe of Lebanon, Illinois, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Lynn officiating.
