Pauline Gillum
Pauline Gillum of St. Louis passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at St. Alexius Hospital having attained the age of 73 years and 26 days.
Born April 19, 1936 in Sikeston, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Davis) Cooper.
Mrs. Gillum was a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for more than 20 years.
Preceding her in death besides her parents, were her husband, E. J. Gillum; her son, Morris Gillum; her sister, Catherine Parker; her brothers, Charles Henry Moseley, Robert Cooper, Jr. and Eddie Cooper and her aunt, Corrine Hardge.
Surviving her passing are her children, Keith Gillum of St. Louis and Benita Gillum of St. Louis; five brothers, William (Jessie) Moseley of Memphis, Tennessee, Willie Cooper, Johnnie Cooper and Rufus (Ruby) Cooper of Chicago and Clay (Clothi) Cooper of St. Louis; one sister, Etta (Lionel) Smith of Chicago; three aunts, Mattie Harris, Lena Bynum and Lourine Edwards of St. Louis; two sisters-in-law, Rosa Cooper and Lucille Cooper of Chicago, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at Southern Funeral Home on Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Memorials may be made to the family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel McClinton officiating. Interment will be private.
