Patricia L. Dye, nee Hern, 68, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2024. She was born on February 26, 1956, in St. Louis, MO to Harry and Jacqueline (Brazzel) Hern and her parents precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Jerod Reitz and Derek Reitz and her granddaughter, Randi N. Reitz.

Patricia was a graduate of Waterloo High School class of 1975. She later graduated from Missouri School for Doctor’s Assistants and worked as a dental assistant until her retirement. She was a member of Life Community Church in Columbia, IL for many years. In her spare time, she and her husband loved to travel, especially to Colorado. Patricia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend to many.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Craig Dye, whom she married on May 8, 1995, in Belleville, IL; her siblings: Jeffrey (Chris) Hern, Angela (the late Mark) Donaldson and Timothy (Regina) Hern; her grandchildren: Levi Reitz, Jayde Reitz and Arian Reitz and great-granddaughter, Jacquelyn Reitz, in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will hold a celebration of Patricia’s life on Sunday November 3, 2024, from 1:30pm-4:00pm at Hank and Lilly’s Creekside, 1026 Main St., Maeystown, IL 62256.

Hoffen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
