Patricia Christie of Columbia, Illinois entered eternal rest on Monday, November 11, 2013 at her home, having attained the age of 83 years, 8 months and 10 days.

Born in Cahokia, Illinois on March 1, 1930, she was the daughter of Edward and Florence Chartrand, nee Reynolds. She was united in marriage to Carl Edward Christie on September 8, 1951 in Mitchell, Illinois and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1988.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Carl Christie, were her parents; her son, Steven Christie and her brothers, Joseph Chartrand and Lawrence Chartrand.

Surviving are her daughter, Theresa Christie of Columbia, Illinois; her sisters, Rita (Norb) Dickman of Seneca, South Carolina, Mary Witt of Glen Carbon, Illinois and Carol (Don) Lange of Collinsville, Illinois; her brothers, Edward (Phyllis) Chartrand, Maryville, Illinois, James (Joan) Chartrand of Troy, Illinois and William (Linda) Chartrand of Livingston, Illinois; her grandchildren, Nicholas Christie and Ciara Christie, both of Columbia, Illinois; her sister-in-law, Treva Chartrand of Alhambra, Illinois, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
