Norma A. Blank, 86 of Waterloo, Illinois, formerly of Millstadt, Illinois passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 4, 2020. Born on June 29, 1933 in Split Rock, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Edward and Anna Redmann, nee Kersten and they precede her in death. Norma was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Pamela Rae who was stillborn, her husband Jerome "Jerry" Blank whom she married in Clintonville, Wisconsin on October 16, 1954; her brothers: Wallace Redmann, Oliver Redmann, Edward (the late Mavis) Redmann, Arlin (the late Elda) Redmann and a sister Lila (the late Richard) Leis.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Julie Blank of Carmel Valley, California and Janel (Steve) Gualdoni of Millstadt, Illinois. Her sister, Rosamund (Robert) Anderson of Virginia, her sister-in-law, Betty (Robert) Nemetz of Shawano, Wisconsin and her grandchildren; Anna Martha and Mario Gualdoni both of Millstadt, Illinois. Norma also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Norma spent her working years as a bank teller and worked her way up to personal banker. She was fortunate enough to retire early and spent her summers with her husband, Jerry in Minaque, Wisconsin enjoying nature's beauty. She and Jerry also loved traveling and and fishing in their free time. Later, she and Jerry moved to Millstadt, Illinois to be closer to their grandchildren. They were able to enjoy the lives of their grandchildren and watched them grow up. Norma was the best mother and mother-in-law, ever. She was a very kind person and was always happy. Norma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, Illinois and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside service is being planned for a later date. Burial will take place in Shawano, Wisconsin. Memorial contributions may be made in Norma's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
