Nellie Ella Burke

Nellie Ella Burke of Cahokia, Illinois passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home, having attained the age of 88 years and 10 days.
Born in Linn, Missouri on March 6, 1929, she was the daughter of Burl "Bud" and Flossie Mosley, nee Butler. She was united in marriage to Paul Burke on August 16, 1948 in Lynch, Kentucky and survives her passing.
Nellie was a retail clerk in a department store, a member of the Church of God in Cahokia, Illinoia and an avid Cardinal baseball fan.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters, Hazel Bogel and Irene Hakkila and her brother, Bill Mosley.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Burke of Cahokia, Illinois; her children, Pam (Joe) Morgan of Cahokia, Illinois and Kim (Mike) Santoyo of St. Louis, Missouri; her sister, Scharlet Ward of Stillwater, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Merritt of Cahokia, Illinois and Andrew Santoyo of St. Louis, Missouri; her great-granddaugher, Isabella Merritt of Cahokia, Illinois; her niece, Dorothy (Bob) Verbeck and many friends.
A gathering of friends will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Living Waters Church, 822 Mildred Avenue, Cahokia, Illinois.
A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the church.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
