Nancy M. Dowling-Pritchard

Nancy M. Dowling-Pritchard, nee Brewer, 87, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday May 23, 2023. Nancy was born in Port South Wales, UK on September 3, 1935, to Reginald A. and Iris M. Brewer, nee Collier and they precede her in death. Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband James W. Dowling.

Nancy was born in Wales, UK and raised in Great Britain. She married her late husband, James in Casablanca, Morocco on November 2, 1957, and became a military spouse. She and James soon started a family and lived all across the United States and England. Nancy became a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in University City, Texas during their time there. Nancy had a passion for dancing and was a huge fan of Elvis. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and caring for her many small dogs over the years. Nancy loved to cook and bake for her family and was known for making the best sausage rolls, ever. Most of all, Nancy loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and dear friend to many.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: James A. (Kimberly) Dowling, Iris M. Dowling and Michelle (Philip) Smisek; her sister Vericia (Fred) Hazelton, her grandchildren: Kristin N. (Kris Williams) Dowling, Taylor E. Dowling, Samantha M. Carter, David M. Carter, Heather T. Seehusen, Alex R. Smisek and William J. Smisek; her great-grandchildren: Logan J. Williams, Ava E. Williams, Summer M. Arredondo and Colton J. Smisek in addition to extended family and many beloved friends.
