Michael William Hauser
Michael William Hauser of Millstadt, Illinois passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Anthonys Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident on Sunday, September 1, 2013, having attained the age of 35 years, 3 months and 16 days.
Born in Belleville, Illinois on May 26, 1978, he was the son of Karen (Randy) Helfrich, nee Menn, and Mark Hauser.
Mike was an amazing young man who touched the heart of everyone who knew him. He was the best son, brother, father and friend anyone could ever ask for. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He was an avid bowler and loved playing golf with his buddies. He enjoyed volleyball and loved the outdoors. He especially liked camping, floating and fishing with his lifetime 'soul' brothers.
Mikes passion was grilling and entering cookoffs. You hardly ever saw him without a grill or smoker next to him or talking about recipes and preparing Bacon Explosions, beer butt chickens and making chili. He was very active with the Boy Scout Troop 622 and was always caring and passionate to these young boys and their families.
He was employed at Custom Marble in Millstadt, Illinois.
Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William J. and Sandra, Menn, nee Schmidt and his paternal grandparents, William C. and Norma Hauser, nee Pea.
Surviving are his mother, Karen (Randy) Helfrich, nee Menn, of Millstadt, Illinois; his father, Mark Hauser; his children, Gage Racine and Ashtin Hauser (with their mother, Trisha Pearson) of Millstadt, Illinois; his brother, Brandon Hauser of Millstadt, Illinois; his sisters, Kassie and Nicki Helfrich of Millstadt, Illinois and Kelsey and Chelsea Hauser of Wood River, Illinois; his grandparents, Al and Rosie Helfrich of Millstadt, Illinois; his special friend, Renee Simonds Famula and her son, Austin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and all of his close friends whom he considered family.
Michael unselfishly wished to be an organ donor so that with his death he could give the gift of life to several others.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the family for the benefit of Gage Racine and Ashtin Hauser and will be received at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2013 at St. James Parish Center in Millstadt, Illinois.
