Marylou Hatley

Marylou Hatley, nee Wilhite, 86, of Mascoutah, IL, passed away on June 22, 2022. Marylou was born to Merl and Pearl Wilhite, nee Lee, on September 26, 1935 in St. Louis, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents, Merl and Pearl Wilhite, her son, Michael Hatley, her husband, Robert Hatley, four brothers, and numerous other loved ones. Left to honor her memory is her daughter, Gail Hill, her grandchildren, Cherri Angleton, Matthew (Becky) Lovell, Bobby (Kayla) Hill, her great-grandchildren; Allison Angleton, Emma Angleton, Miles Angleton, Andrea Hill, Cameron Hill, Jackson Hill, her sisters-in-law, Ellen Sue Collins and Darla Hatley, and her dear friends at Regency Manor in O’Fallon, IL.

Marylou loved everything about racecars and racing, particularly midget car racing, and enjoyed going to the racetrack to watch the action. She also enjoyed going on road trips and traveling, but her favorite place to visit was Hawaii. Marylou had a soft spot for animals and owned many dogs throughout her life. She enjoyed jazz music and going to live jazz performances with her late husband, Robert.
