Mary Louise Rose
Mary Louise Rose of St. Louis, baptized into the hope of Christs resurrection, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Nazareth Living Center having attained the age of 85 years, 7 months and 6 days.
Born in Bement, Illinois on July 1, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harley Iomer and Bessie (Peer) Alexander, Sr. She married Richard Scott Rose on February 14, 1952 in Decatur, Illinois and he preceded her in death on September 29, 1995.
Mrs. Rose was a cafeteria worker in the Decatur City Schools and was a member of the United Methodist Women, a life member of the Decatur PTA, a girl scout leader and a cub scout den mother.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Madolyn Carol (Richard) Heuser of Fremont, California, Mary Elizabeth (Edward) Knuth of Wautoma, Wisconsin and Douglas Scott (Patricia) Rose of St. Louis; one brother, Harley Iomer (Naomi) Alexander, Jr. of Decatur, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Robert Scott Heuser of San Jose, California, Justin Dietrich Heuser of Woodland, California, David Alexander Knuth of Wautoma, Wisconsin, Paul Scott (Margaret) Rose, Ann Elizabeth Rose, Michael Eugene Rose and Sarah Marie Rose all of St. Louis; nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and many friends.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Nazareth Living Center with Father Andrew OConner officiating.
Memorials may be made in the form of masses.
Southern Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur.
