Marie Catherine Mueth of Millstadt, Illinois entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at her home, having attained the age of 93 years, 8 months and 29 days.
Born in St. Clair Township, Illinois on December 19, 1922, she was the daughter of Edward G. and Mathilda A. Kreher, Nee Mauer. She was united in marriage to John Louis Mueth on November 22, 1944 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Paderborn, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2007.
Marie was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois and St. Michael's Altar Sodality in Paderborn, Illinois.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, John Louis Mueth; her son, John L. Mueth, Jr. in infancy; her sisters, Cecelia (Arthur) Schaefer and Ethel (Fred) Voegele and her brother, Bert Kreher and her brothers-in-law, Robert Speichinger, Edmond Eckart and Victor Mueth.
Surviving her passing are her children, Sister Marilyn Mueth of Millstadt, Illinois, Janet (Kenneth) Cress of Boone, North Carolina and Kathleen (Ronald) Wolf of Millstadt, Illinois; her brothers, Clyde (Anna Mae) Kreher of Waterloo, Illinois and Joseph (Evelyn) Kreher of Freeburg, Illinois; her sisters, Ruth Speichinger of Millstadt, Illinois, Esther Eckart of Hecker, Illinois and Estelle Mueth of Paderborn, Illinois; her sister-in-law, Ethel Mae Kreher of Hecker, Illinois; her grandchildren, Margaret "Maggie" (David) Bollone of Millstadt, Illinois, Kenneth (Angela) Wolf of Paderborn, Illinois and Jonathan (Hannah) Wolf of Atlanta, Georgia; her great-grandchildren, John Bollone, Samuel Bollone and Kenneth Wolf, Jr., nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in the form of masses to St. James Catholic Church or in the form of memorials to St. James Catholic Church or the Ursuline Sisters of Mt. St. Joseph and will be received at the funeral home.
Friends may call on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. A scripture prayer service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 7:30 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Paderborn, Illinois.
