Marguerite Ann Mayer, nee Russell, of Sparta, Illinois, died at her home on Monday, April 28, 2014, at the age of 67 years 9 months and 22 days
.
Marguerite was born in Belleville, Illinois, on July 6, 1946, to Robert and Mary Russell, nee Powell.

Throughout her life Marguerite was a child care provider at several pre-school facilities

Marguerite married the love of her life, Larry Mayer on November 13, 1971, in Belleville, Illinois.

In addition to her parents Marguerite was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Joe Russell.

She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Lisa Moore, Vandalia, Illinois, Rhonda Moore, Millstadt, Illinois, Tina Dolmage, Sparta, Illinois, and Angela (Joel) Ramirez, Swansea, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends will gather for a pot luck memorial service from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the Sparta VFW, Sparta, Illinois.
