Lucille Amelia 'Lou' Eckert of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home, having attained the age of 85 years and 3 days.

Born in Paderborn, Illinois on June 18, 1928, she was the daughter of Alois and Mathilda, nee Schoenborn, Reinhardt, Jr. She was united in marriage to Lee Eckert in 1950 in Millstadt, Illinois and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Mrs. Eckert was a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Lee Eckert, were her parents and her brothers and sisters, Virgil Reinhardt, Helen Cebulske, Mildred Jakes, Victor Reinhardt, Jerome Reinhardt and one sister in infancy.

Surviving are her children, Trudy (Ray) Famula of Millstadt, Illinois, Lana (John) Layton of O'Fallon, Missouri, Kelly (Mike) O'Donnell of Millstadt, Illinois and Toby (Amy) Eckert of Alexandria, Virginia; her brothers, Felix (Darlene) Reinhardt of Millstadt, Illinois, Vincent Reinhardt of Eureka, Missouri; her sister-in-law, Ruth Reinhardt of Millstadt, Illinois; her grandchildren, Corey Famula, Jeni (Scott) Sanchez, Chad (Jessica) Zipfel, Nicholas O'Donnell, Page O'Donnell and Lily Eckert; her great-grandson, Austin Famula; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois or to the Millstadt Senior Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
