Linda Lorrain Mcneal

Linda Lorrain McNeal of Freeburg, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois having attained the age of 83 years, 7 months and 24 days.

Born in Evan, Michigan on November 17, 1934, she was the daughter of Hanf and Anna Niva, nee Mannisto. She was united in marriage to Elmer McNeal in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and he preceded her in death.

Linda was a clerk in a grocery store and of the Lutheran faith.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, Elmer McNeal were her son, Jack McConnell; her brothers, Kenneth Niva and Walter Smedberg and her sister, Helen Ellis.

Surviving are her daughter, Beatrice Dull of Freeburg, Illinois; her sisters, Delores Slaktowski of Wyoming, Michigan, Carol Lehtosen, Hilma and Arlene Tervo, both of Escanaba, Michigan; her brother, Fred Lehtosen of Escanaba, Michigan; her grandchildren, Ryan Kushmaul of Freeburg, Illinois, Chad McConnell of Midlands, Michigan, Melissa McConnell and Miranda McConnell, both of Maine; two great-grandchildren, Summer Kushmaul and Autumn Kushmaul, nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 612 North State Street, Freeburg, Illinois with a light luncheon to follow.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
