Linda J. Kaufmann

Linda Jane Kaufmann, nee Vickery, 73 of Marissa, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday September 6, 2020. Born on August 6, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri Linda was the daughter of Joseph and Edress Vickery, nee Rice and they precede her in death. Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. Kaufmann and three brothers: Russell Vickery, Jim "Gartz" Vickery and Terry Vickery.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Mark Johner of Marissa, Illinois, Malissa (Robert) Clark of Oakdale, Illinois and Ed Johner (Staci Conekin) of Ashley, Illinois; her brothers; Ken Vickery of Missouri and Larry (Donna) Vickery of Afton, Missouri. Linda is also survived by three granddaughters and two grandsons in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Linda was a devoted volunteer for many years. She served as the Unit Commissioner for Boy Scouts of St. Louis, Missouri, she also volunteered for Good Turn at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri and for Second Wind, an organization that assists those recovering from lung transplants. Linda loved gardening and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and the family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
