Leora M. Graves of Columbia, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at New Athens Home for the Aged in New Athens, Illinois having attained the age of 92 years, 7 months and 6 days.

Born in Richview, Illinois on July 17, 1917, she was the daughter of John and Daisy (Cort) Shelton. She married Richard Earl Graves on August 12, 1933 in Belleville, Illinois.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Richard Graves; two sisters, Lucille Bowman and Nina Graves; two grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Richard (Patricia) Graves of Waterloo, Illinois, Shirley Jean Fischer of New Athens, Illinois, John Raymond Graves of Waterloo, Illinois, Carol Sue Horn of Waterloo, Illinois and Wayne (Patricia) Graves of Waterloo, Illinois; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her lifelong friend, Helen Mazurkiewicz.
Friends may call on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt.
