Leodrie Claire 'Audrey' Motta


Leodrie Claire 'Audrey' Motta of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois having attained the age of 83 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 27, 1931, she was the daughter of Henry and Leodrie Kalz, nee Smallwood. She was united in marriage to Joseph A. Motta on May 30, 1958 at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri and he survives her passing.

Mrs. Motta was a school secretary at St. Sebastian Catholic School in St. Louis, Missouri, a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Over 50 Club and St. James Conference of Catholic Women in Millstadt, Illinois.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Kenneth Kalz.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph A. Motta of Millstadt, Illinois; her children, Jerry (Barbara) Motta of St. Louis, Missouri and Sandy (John) Schiffhauer of Millstadt, Illinois; her grandchildren, Michelle Motta of St. Louis, Missouri, Nick Nieroda, Katie Nieroda, both of Millstadt, Illinois; her step-grandchildren, Hanna Schiffhauer and Jesse Schiffhauer, both of Millstadt, Illinois, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Research and will be received at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
