Lea Anne Telthorst of St. Louis passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at her home at the age of 85 years.
Born July 26, 1922 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Otto and Frances (McDonald) Russkopf. She married George M. Telthorst in August of 1953 and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Telthorst was an elementary teacher with the St. Louis City Schools for ten years and a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church

Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husband, George were two brothers, Arthur and Victor Russkopf.

Surviving are her children, George M. (Chris) Telthorst of Bloomington, Indiana, Lea Anne (Joe) Howell of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, James (Gratia) Telthorst of Glen Carbon and Norma (Mike) Telthorst-Reven of Verona, New Jersey, seven grandchildren, Katie, Laura, Meg, David, Julia, Marion and Libby; two step-grandchildren, Alec and John, nieces, nephews and friends.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Father Richard Tillman officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Southern Funeral Home, 6322 South Grand Boulevard. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 P.M.

Memorials may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and will be received at the funeral home.
