Larry Thomas Fultz, Sr.

Larry Thomas Fultz, Sr., 81 of Maryville, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday December 20, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 5, 1939 in East St. Louis, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Hazel Fultz, nee Summers and his grandson, Aaron Scott Jaco.

Larry was employed for many years as a Pari Mutuel Clerk at Cahokia Downs and later Fairmount Park Race Tracks, a position he dearly loved. Larry had a love of custom cars from a young age and carried this passion throughout his life. He loved horses and motor car racing and was always up for socializing at various venues around the area. He loved rock and roll music and especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia Fultz of Maryville, IL, his sons: Larry and Vhonda Fultz, Jr. of Pikeville, NC, Gary and Sarah Fultz of Lexington, SC, Barry and Michelle Fultz of Millstadt, IL and Brad and Joni Fultz of O’Fallon, IL, his step-children; Angie and Jeff Morgan of Maryville, IL and Eric Pfleger, fiancée Tammy Johnson of Caseyville, IL nn. His sister, Shirley (the late John) Huff of Maryville, IL; his grandchildren: Ashley Fultz of Paris, IL, Abigail Fultz of Pikeville, NC, Brittany Campbell of Goldsboro, NC, Victoria Strong of Litchfield Park, AZ, Casey and Austin Fultz, both of Millstadt, IL and Ella and Owen Fultz, both of O’Fallon, IL; his great-grandchild, Avery Jax Campbell of Goldsboro, NC as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.

Per Larry’s wishes, his body was cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
