Kevin Patrick Stephenson

Kevin Patrick Stephenson, 56 of Valmeyer, Illinois passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday July 14, 2019. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 19, 1963, he was the son of Harry and Alma Stephenson and they precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Jacobs



Kevin is survived by his wife, Jennifer Stephenson, nee Meyers who he married on October 28, 2006 in Valmeyer, Illinois.



Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Pamela Barnhart of Pacific, Missouri, his children: Ashley (Deandre) Wordlaw of St. Charles, Missouri, Devon Stephenson, Ethan Stephenson and Rielie Stephenson all of Valmeyer, Illinois. His siblings: Steve (Janet) Stephenson of St. Peters, Missouri, Kathy Watson, Cheryl Chiarelli of St. Charles, Missouri, Michael (Sherri) Stephenson of Belleville, Illinois, David (Tina) Stephenson of Granite City, Illinois, Karen (Michael) Rue of Valley Park, Missouri and Debbie Hernandez of Chicago, Illinois. An aunt, Jody (Timothy) Compton of Mt. Olive, Illinois and a nephew, Nick Shrum of Waterloo, Illinois.



Kevin worked in the construction field for many years. In his spare time, he loved to listen to rock-n-roll music. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July and he loved the fireworks. He enjoyed a good bar-b-que and spending time with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.



Friends may call on Thursday July 18, 2019 from 4pm-7pm at Second Chance Ministries, 2736 State Route 156, Waterloo, IL. Funeral Services will immediately follow at Second Chance Ministries in Waterloo at 7pm.
