Katherine Mae 'Kate' Koerber



Katherine Mae 'Kate' Koerber, 74, of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the home of her son in rural Waterloo.

Born May 6, 1933 in Belleville, she was the daughter of George and Margaret (Egger) Wild. She married Hubert G. Koerber, Sr. on May 24, 1952 at St. Paul United Church Of Christ in Floraville and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1999.

Mrs. Koerber was retired from Paddock Industries, a member of Modern Woodmen of America and St. Paul United Church of Christ in Floraville.

Besides her husband, Hubert, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Wild.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Hubert (Christy) Koerber, Jr. of Waterloo, Debbie (Tim) Sansom, Kathy (Gary) Dahm, both of Swansea and Linda (Don) Traiteur of Millstadt; two sisters, Frances (Sylvester) Dickneite of Millstadt and Florence Miller of Belleville; two brothers, Charles Wild of Belleville and Donald (Dolores) Wild of Millstadt; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer (Shawn) Monnich of Canton, Douglas Sansom of Swansea, Pamela (Matthew) Patterson of Smithton, Thomas Dahm of Swansea, Donald Traiteur, Jr. of Millstadt, Lauren Traiteur of Granite City, John Traiteur of Mt. Vernon, Katie Traiteur of Millstadt, Allyssa Koerber, Megan Koerber, Madison Koerber and Kiley Koerber of Waterloo and two great-grandchildren, Austin Monnich and Hayden Patterson.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt, with Rev. Matthew Friz officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association or Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
