Judith Ann Eck

June 20, 1942 — February 12, 2021

Judith Ann Eck, nee Menard, passed away peacefully on Friday February 12, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois. Judy was born on June 20, 1942 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Joseph F. and Edna L. Menard, nee Woods, and they precede her in death. Judy was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Gene Eck, Sr., her brother Robert L. Menard, Sr. and her son-in-law, David Sorensen.
Judy was a woman of strong faith and often volunteered at St. Philip’s church in East St. Louis, Illinois. She had a love of Native American artwork and in her spare time enjoyed various arts and crafts, especially needlepoint and woodworking. Most important to Judy was her family; she enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved ones. Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Charles Moore of Leesburg, Florida, Kimberly (Ike) Bear of Arnold, Missouri, William G. (Sharon) Eck, Jr. of Caseyville, Illinois, Jo (Tom) Reed of Granite City, Illinois, Kathleen Sorensen of New Baden, Illinois and Carolyn Eck also of New Baden, Illinois and nine grandchildren.
Judy will be laid to rest with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday February 27, 2021 from 11am-1pm with service at 1pm at Hoffen Funeral Home 220 W. Washington St. Millstadt, IL 62260
