Juanita Romanik of Belleville, Illinois entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville having attained the age of 85 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on October 20, 1926, she was the daughter of Raymond and Edna, nee Sherrels, Touchette. She was united in marriage to Stephen Romanik and he preceded her in death.
Preceding her in death besides her husband were her parents, one son, Gary Deffendall; one grandson, Kevin Deffendall and two brothers, Raymond Touchette and Jack Touchette.

Surviving are her son, Robert (Tina) Romanik of Belleville; her grandchildren, Stephen Romanik II of Belleville, Gary (Pam) Deffendall, Jr. of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri and Kim Margherita of Eureka, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Katie, Nicholas, Brittney, Joshua and Tyler, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
