Joyce Carla Hogeland

Joyce Carla Hogeland, nee Koenig, 68, of East Carondelet, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 11, 2024. Joyce was born on December 24, 1955, in St. Louis, MO to Henry and Julie (Kincaid) Keonig and her parents precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Joe Koenig and Sonny Koenig.

Joyce was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting. She was especially interested in crocheting, quilting and making dream catchers. She was also interested in working on her family’s genealogy. Most important to Joyce was her family and she cherished all the time she spent with her loved ones and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Keith Hogeland whom she married in St. Louis, MO on April 20, 1977; her children: Michael Hogeland and Jeremiah Lee (Brandi) Hogeland, her brother, James Koenig, sister-in-law, Penny Koenig, her grandchildren: Machayla Williamson and Alex Hahn and eight great-grandchildren in addition to extended family and many friends.

Joyce made the generous gift of donating her body to science. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
