Josephine M. Humbolt

Josephine M. Humbolt of St. Louis passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Riverview Nursing Center having attained the age of 90 years, 1 month and 2 days.
Born on May 26, 1919 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Bertha (Szyt) Kotyla. She married Ralph C. Humbolt in Douglas, Kansas in 1946 and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Humbolt was a member of St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church and St. Annes Sodality at St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church.
Preceding her in death besides her husband, Ralph and her parents were two sisters, Johanna Seifert and Frances Luzynski and a grandchild.
Surviving her passing are her sons, Ralph (Donna) Humbolt and Harold (Mary) Humbolt both of St. Louis, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call at Southern Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Vic officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
