Joseph Jablonski of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Columbia Convalescent Center in Columbia, Illinois having attained the age of 97 years, 3 months and 17 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on November 26, 1912, he was the son of Ignatius and Agnes (Kurpias) Jablonski.

Mr. Jablonski was an airplane mechanic with McDonnell-Douglas and Boeing, a World War II veteran with the United States Army where he repaired bombers for their daily missions over Japan; a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, the Farm Bureau and was an avid dancer and reader.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Walter Jablonski and a niece, Mary Jane (Lee) Neff.
Surviving are his sister, Loretta Schmidt of Millstadt, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Frances Jablonski; nieces, Joan (Bob) Tyler of Fairview Heights, Illinois and Margaret (Michael) Mills of Oakland, California; great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt. Memorials may be made in the form of masses.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt with Father Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will be private at a later date.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt is in charge of arrangements.
